Hall County Warrant Records Hall County Warrant Records

What follows is a routing guide, not a help desk. Almost every question about a Hall County warrant belongs with the court that issued it or with the Sheriff's Warrant Service Unit, and the official Hall County numbers and addresses for those offices are listed below. Use the court named on your citation or court paper first, then work outward from there.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. Hall County Warrant Records is a private reference site. It cannot confirm that a warrant exists, recall or clear one, take a bond payment, set up a surrender, or give legal advice to anyone. For any of that, contact the Hall County office listed below or the municipal court printed on your paperwork.

Where to Take a Hall County Warrant Question

Hall County splits warrant work among several offices, so the right first call depends on the question you are asking:

  • Whether a warrant is outstanding: the Hall County Sheriff's Warrant Service Unit at 770-531-6907 handles arrest warrants, arrest orders, probation and parole warrants, and bench warrants. Ask what the unit is permitted to release and what lawful step comes next. No public Hall County warrant roster was published in the official sources reviewed.
  • Applying for an arrest warrant, or a first appearance: Hall County Magistrate Court at 770-531-6912 takes warrant applications and holds first appearance and committal hearings. The county posts a warrant application form; filing it is a court process, not an online lookup.
  • A bench warrant after a missed court date: call the court that set the case. A Hall State Court traffic matter goes to the Traffic Violations Bureau at 770-531-7066. A city citation goes to the municipal court named on it: Gainesville 770-531-2668, Flowery Branch 770-967-6336, Oakwood 770-534-2364, Braselton 706-654-5553. Lula routes through City Hall at 770-869-3801, which can identify the court and the custodian.
  • Court files, dockets, and certified copies: the Hall County Clerk of Superior and State Courts at 770-531-7025, with the Criminal Division at 770-531-7038, at 225 Green Street SE in Gainesville. The county names the court clerk as the custodian of court records.
  • Copies of Sheriff records: written requests go to the Sheriff's Records Supervisor, not to the Warrant Service Unit and not to the county's general portal. Hall keeps Sheriff and Courts outside the NextRequest route that most other county departments use from July 1, 2026.
  • Custody status: the Hall County Jail at 1700 Barber Road publishes 770-531-6904, and the county links a Police to Citizen inmate catalog. That catalog shows custody, not warrants, so an absent name settles nothing.
  • Legal advice about your own case: a licensed Georgia attorney. No county office and no website can tell you how a warrant, charge, or bond applies to you.

The two county offices most people need are listed with their published addresses and phone numbers below. Both sit under the Hall County Sheriff's Office, and they are not interchangeable. One serves warrants. The other releases documents.

A Sheriff request should name the record you want, give a narrow date range, and ask for an itemized estimate. Hall's published terms give the first 15 minutes of staff time free, then the lowest-skilled employee's hourly rate, with copies at $0.10 per page and a stated certification charge. A response generally arrives within three business days when the material is readily available, though retrieval, review, or redaction can take longer under the Georgia Open Records Act.

Watch for warrant scams. Hall County warned in March 2025 that the Sheriff's Office and Pretrial Services do not phone people to demand bond money and do not accept mobile-payment transfers, and it warned again in July 2025 about callers claiming a missed jury duty created a warrant. If a caller threatens arrest and asks for gift cards, cryptocurrency, a wire, or a payment app, hang up. Look up the court or Sheriff number yourself and call it back. The non-emergency dispatch line Hall publishes for that check is 770-536-8812, and 911 is for emergencies.
